Adapt and Destroy
Jul 1, 2008
At first glance, they look like your average snowboarders. They slide rails, ride the half pipe, float over kickers and trench their carves. But these are no ordinary shreds. One is missing most of her leg, another his vision and the third can’t walk.

The duo left Park City and are trekking up the coast to Mt. Hood. They’re road tripping it the right way and stopped off for a little skating, surfing, and roadside fun. Here’s what they had to say about the past winter and their summer plans.
Caught up with Max Baillargeon
Jun 11, 2008
Max Baillargeon grew up in Quebec, sharpened his claws on all that cold French Canadian steel, recently made the move west and spent last winter taking his lumps in the Whistler backcountry. Kid is on his way. He rides for Billabong, Etnies, Thirtytwo, Salomon, Dragon, I Found Headwear and Radical snowboard shop and is also working his way through college. He’s been lurking in So Cal recently, interning at Billabong, and swung by the TW offices. This is what he had to say.

The Patch Is Back!
Jun 10, 2008
I had no idea what to expect on my way to the Patch Match near Mountain High, just outside of Los Angeles, CA. My only choice, though, was to be optimistic. After all, hiking 2.7 miles up a closed highway would have been pointless without the allure of summer shredding around the corner.

White And Buaas Earn U.S. Open Slopestyle Wins
Mar 21, 2008
Over the years, the U.S. Open halfpipe finals have been seemingly blessed with a sort of preternatural good weather, but the slopestyle event has not been so lucky. In fact, the U.S. Open slope is usually running under intense if not downright treacherous weather conditions. While that doesn't make for a pro-rider stroll through the park competition-wise, it does make it interesting.
